Amadi'- Pinot Noir - Riserva 2022
Lombardia
Le Fiole
pinot noir
A deliberate selection: only 594 bottles were produced. While Pinot Nero from Oltrepò Pavese is often destined for sparkling wine, Amadi is a serious red. This Riserva comes from a single plot of 40-year-old vines at 400 meters altitude. Low yields, 12 months in French oak barrels, and another year in the bottle give this wine its presence and structure. This is Pinot Nero built to age.The altitude and cool nights make for a wine that is both intense and refined. You’ll find ripe red berries, wild flowers, and a hint of spice on the nose. On the palate, it has a generous structure with firm, characteristic tannins polished by the wood. It’s a rich, garnet-red wine with a finish that lingers.
Pierluigi’s Note: This is the bottle I open when I want a wine with real character. It’s powerful enough for roasted or grilled meats and hearty winter stews, but it also works brilliantly with aged, salty cheeses. It has a long life ahead of it—easily 10 to 12 years—so if you open it now, give it the time it needs. Serve at 18°C.
