FRANTOIO LABIANCA: A FAMILY LEGACY

The story of the Labianca family's olive oil begins in the 1920s, when Frantoio Labianca was established, setting the foundation for generations of olive oil craftsmanship.Over the years, the machinery replaced the old horses and mules, but the heart of the business remains unchanged.
Lorella now, together with her husband Daniele, representing the fifth generation, brings fresh energy while honouring their family traditions. For the Labianca family, their frantoio (olive mill) is more than just a business - it's their heritage, passed down like the color of their eyes. It's a testament to the enduring connection between family, land, and tradition.
Today, Frantoio Domenico Labianca produces some of Puglia's purest olive oils, offering a range that showcases the region's distinctive cultivars. What sets them apart is their commitment to traditional production methods—an increasingly rare approach in modern olive oil making.

CASALTRINITÀ: A COOPERATIVE LEGACY

Founded in 1965 in the heart of Puglia, Casaltrinità combines historical heritage with cooperative spirit. Antonio Gargano now leads the winery, following the vision of his father Savino, who founded Casaltrinità. Savino's idea was simple but powerful: bring local farmers together not just to combine grape production, but to make decisions as a group. As a cooperative, every member shares in both the work and the success.
Casaltrinità specializes in Puglia's native grapes, especially Nero di Troia - a variety once favored by Emperor Frederick II himself. Today, Casaltrinità offers a remarkable range of wines that showcase the diversity of Puglia's terroir. From bold, full-bodied reds aged in oak to crisp whites and elegant sparkling Blanc de Blancs, each wine demonstrates the versatility of their land and their winemaking expertise. Two experienced enologists oversee the entire production process, ensuring that every bottle reflects both the character of the soil and the skill of its makers.

MARIA FARETRA: modern soul and ancient values

Maria Faretra founded her winery from a deep connection to Puglia’s heritage, enriched with a modern and artistic vision. Today, she leads the estate with an all-female team that stands out for its attention to detail, commitment to sustainability, and ambition to craft wines with strong character. Every step of the process, from vinification to the design of the labels, is approached with the same care and dedication.

Maria’s philosophy is based on “subtraction”: never adding anything that could overshadow the grape or the land. This approach allows varieties such as Malbec, Primitivo, and Nero di Troia to fully express their pure identity and the soul of their terroir. The cellar, located right next to the vineyards, enables immediate vinification after harvest, preserving freshness and quality. The result is a collection of wines that embody balance, authenticity, and the beauty of life in Puglia.

ATerra: the new generation of winemaking

Andrea Cavone is a young lawyer living between London and Puglia who founded aTerra after saving an old Primitivo vineyard from being uprooted. Together with enologist Marta Castiglione, he has built a winery that reflects a new generation of winemaking: rooted in organic farming, sustainability, and the ambition to craft wines as natural as possible, always without compromises.

His principle of “no compromises” is clear in every detail. Traditional methods, such as the ancient “alberello” system, are combined with modern techniques to preserve grape integrity and terroir character. By avoiding barrel aging, Andrea allows the wines to express the pure essence of grape and soil. Grapes from two distinct terroirs bring balance, freshness, body, and spice, while the same philosophy is seen in the olive oil aTerra produces — a true reflection of Puglia’s authenticity.
