Two wines, one mountain, total contrast

Most wine regions are known for one thing—Burgundy for Pinot, Barolo for Nebbiolo. But Trentino, tucked into the Dolomites, does something rare: it makes both a red and a white that are equally exciting, equally shaped by altitude and stone. This is your chance to taste both sides of the mountain.

Tonalite — Teroldego (Red)

Italy's alpine secret. Juicy, lively, with violets and wild cherries. Refreshing tannins, mountain freshness. A red that doesn't weigh you down.

Terre Bianche — Chardonnay (White)

Grown on gypsum quarries. Rich but mineral, with white flowers and a balsamic edge. Wood-aged for body, but the stone keeps it lifted and alive.

Why this duo works:

They're opposites that make sense together. The red is bright and fruity; the white is textured and stony. One for antipasti or charcuterie, one for pasta or fish. Or just open both and see how the same mountain expresses itself in two completely different voices.

Perfect for:

  • Dinner parties where you want red and white
  • Exploring a region you've probably never tasted
  • Gifts for wine lovers who've "tried everything"

The De Vigili family has been tied to winemaking in Trentino since the 19th century. Though wars and hardship interrupted the story, the estate was rebuilt with determination and guided by a philosophy that values quality over size.

Today the winery is led by Francesco De Vigili, who has given new life to the family tradition with a bold and contemporary vision. The cellar is imagined not only as a place of production but as a space of inclusion and gathering, where wine, art, and the beauty of the Dolomites come together.

With an eye for detail and a respect for history, De Vigili continues to craft wines that reflect both the land and the spirit of those who tend it, offering bottles with authenticity, personality, and character.

The vineyards of De Vigili are located in the Piana Rotaliana, one of Trentino’s most renowned wine-growing areas. Nestled between the Adige and Noce rivers and framed by the Dolomite rock walls of Mezzocorona and Mezzolombardo, this land has been shaped by glaciers and enriched with fertile soils of sand, silt, and Tonalite pebbles.

The climate is marked by striking contrasts: cold alpine winds meet warm currents rising from Lake Garda, creating wide day-night temperature shifts that bring both freshness and depth to the wines.

In this unique environment, Chardonnay and Teroldego thrive, producing mountain wines that are precise, mineral, and full of character — a true reflection of the Dolomites.
