Most people don't know that Merlot can make a sparkling rosé worth talking about. This one does. Same Long Charmat method as the Brut, matured on the fine lees for over 60 days at low temperature — fine, persistent bubbles and an elegance that holds throughout.

Seductive floral notes of rose and small red fruits on the nose, with a pleasant freshness and a savoury finish that sets it apart from most rosé bubbles. Gastronomic, not decorative.

Pierluigi's Note: The Merlot gives this something you don't expect — a little more body, a savoury edge. Great as an aperitivo but it works equally well with light dishes and fish. Serve very cold.

Le Vie Angarano is not just a winery — it's a villa with over 500 years of history. Villa Angarano was designed by Andrea Palladio in 1548 and has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1996. Today it's owned by the five Bianchi Michiel sisters, who have kept the original vision alive: home and land, inseparable.

The estate sits along the Brenta River near Bassano del Grappa, surrounded by orchards and centuries-old trees. The same river that in the 13th century brought Venice here to source wine. A clear commitment to organic farming with native grapes like Vespaiola and Marzemino.

Veneto is one of Italy's most prolific wine regions, stretching from the Dolomites down to the Adriatic coast. Most people know it for Prosecco, Amarone and Soave — the big names that dominate wine lists everywhere. But inland, in the hills around Bassano del Grappa and Breganze, there's a quieter story being told.

This is where Vespaiola grows — an ancient native grape, almost impossible to find outside the area, that makes wines of real delicacy and character. The hills here are gentler, the climate milder, and the connection to the land runs deep. Far from the tourist trail, this is Veneto at its most honest.
