La Fuga - Montepulciano Bio

La Marca di San Michele
montepulciano
This rosé has a story behind it. The grapes were planted in 2011 together with Jan Ali Baiquiri, a young Afghan refugee who worked at the estate while fleeing his country. The name La Fuga — The Escape — is a tribute to him and to everyone who is escaping.
It's made from Montepulciano, pressed whole with natural draining of the must to get that delicate colour. Spontaneous fermentation in steel, keeping everything light and true to the fruit. Delicate hints of red fruit, fresh and easy to drink, with a savory, tasty finish.
Pierluigi's Note: This is not your average rosé. It has real character — the kind that reminds you why rosé can be a serious wine. Gastronomic, not lazy. Perfect with finger food, focaccia, fried foods or a full-fat cheese. Serve well chilled at 10–12°C.
