Italy's alpine secret (but not for long)

Teroldego grows high in the Dolomites, where the air is crisp and the nights are cool. The World Atlas of Wine calls it "one of Italy's great characters"—and they're right. It's got personality, freshness, and a kind of alpine brightness you don't find in southern Italian reds. More and more people are discovering it—and once you taste it, you'll understand why.

What makes it special?

This is a red wine that refreshes. Deep ruby in the glass, with aromas of violets, cherries, and wild berries straight from the mountain. On the palate? Juicy, lively fruit with a lifted, almost electric freshness. The tannins are there, but gentle—more silky than grippy. It's structured enough to feel serious, but light enough to keep you coming back for another glass.

What to pair it with:

  • Roasted pork or veal
  • Grilled sausages or speck (Alpine cured ham)
  • Aged cheeses like Asiago or Fontina
  • The bottle you bring when you want to surprise someone with "Wait, what grape is this?"

This is a red for people who think they don't like reds—or for red lovers looking for something different.

Serve at 16–18°C | 13% alcohol

The De Vigili family has been tied to winemaking in Trentino since the 19th century. Though wars and hardship interrupted the story, the estate was rebuilt with determination and guided by a philosophy that values quality over size.

Today the winery is led by Francesco De Vigili, who has given new life to the family tradition with a bold and contemporary vision. The cellar is imagined not only as a place of production but as a space of inclusion and gathering, where wine, art, and the beauty of the Dolomites come together.

With an eye for detail and a respect for history, De Vigili continues to craft wines that reflect both the land and the spirit of those who tend it, offering bottles with authenticity, personality, and character.

The vineyards of De Vigili are located in the Piana Rotaliana, one of Trentino’s most renowned wine-growing areas. Nestled between the Adige and Noce rivers and framed by the Dolomite rock walls of Mezzocorona and Mezzolombardo, this land has been shaped by glaciers and enriched with fertile soils of sand, silt, and Tonalite pebbles.

The climate is marked by striking contrasts: cold alpine winds meet warm currents rising from Lake Garda, creating wide day-night temperature shifts that bring both freshness and depth to the wines.

In this unique environment, Chardonnay and Teroldego thrive, producing mountain wines that are precise, mineral, and full of character — a true reflection of the Dolomites.
